Got a question? These are some of the things we have been asked most often. However, if you cannot find the answer to your query, do ask! We aim to respond within 48 hours.

1.      I am a first time customer at Jimmy Chung’s. What is the procedure regarding during at Jimmy Chung’s?

Upon arrival wait for a member of staff to show you to your table. If you are using vouchers show them to the member of staff at the beginning of your meal. Order drinks and then feel free to help yourself to our delicious buffet food. After your meal please pay at your table.

2.      What is the pricing policy regarding children?

At Jimmy Chung’s,   there are minimum charge (£3.00) for children under 3 years of age. For children above age 3, Jimmy Chung’s regards children to be below 135 cm in height or under 11 years of age.
Jimmy Chung’s do request that parents ensure that the foods provided to these young customers are not wasted as we operate a “No waste food Campaign”.

3. What are the age restrictions for dining at Jimmy Chung’s?
Children 11 and above are welcome to dine with their friends. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged 11 to 15 (inclusive) must be accompanied by an adult after 6pm.
If the child is unaccompanied by an adult, we would politely request them to pay for their meal and drinks upfront.

4. How do I book a party at Jimmy Chung’s?
You can book your party online or through the telephone. Please note that for parties above 20 people, a £5.00 per person deposit is required which is not refundable.

5. Can you arrange my party requirements?
We can offer additions services such as Birthday parties. You can bring along a birthday cake and we will dim the light and play “Happy Birthday” as you blow your candles out. We are also happy to cater for other major events such as corporate functions, Christmas meals, weddings, engagements, hen nights and stag nights. Please contact us to arrange it for you.

6. Can I bring my own decorations along to celebrate my party?
Yes, you can bring along your own balloons, celebration cake, and party poppers etc to celebrate in style.

7. Is Jimmy Chung’s fully licensed?
Jimmy Chung’s is fully licensed however we do not operate a “bring your own bottle” policy.

8. Does Jimmy Chung’s provide free refill drink?
Jimmy Chung’s do not provide any free refills of beverages including tea and coffee.

9. Do you provide a take away service?
Yes, you can purchase a take away box from the restaurant. Take away delivery service are by prior arrangement only.

10. Can I pay by card?
Jimmy Chung’s accept all major credit cards apart from AMERICAN EXPRESS. Individual transactions under £10 are subject to a 50p transaction fee. We do not provide a cash back service on card transaction.

11. Do you provide a vegetarian menu?
There are always vegetarian options on our counters, however, if you like something extra, feel free to ask a member of staff and our chef will prepare according to your requirements. There is a maximum of 3 special orders per group.

12. Do you provide HALAL foods?
Yes, our chicken, beef and lamb are HALAL.

13. Is information available regarding food content?
Jimmy Chung’s clearly marks content of food information with regard to Allergys, Glueten Free, Nuts and Dairy product etc. if you require information regarding food content, feel free to ask a member of staff for more details.

14. What happens if my favourite dish has run low/runout during dining?
Please feel free to ask a member of staff and we will happily provide more of the dish you require. Do not hesitate in asking for assistance if food is cooler or dryer than required.

15. Can I take home food that I cannot finish in the restaurant?
No. However, if you wish to take home food, you could always purchase a take away box prior to leaving. Jimmy Chung’s believes in our campaign “Do not waste food”, so we suggest customer only take what you can eat and re-use your cutlery.

16. If I arrive at Jimmy Chung’s at 4pm but leave at 6pm, what is the pricing policy?
Pricing policy is determined by the time a customer vacates their table. If you leave after 5pm, you will be charged evening rates.

17. When can I use my promotional vouchers at Jimmy Chung’s?
Vouchers with the valid dates can be used at Jimmy Chung’s. These must be presented at the start of your meal. Vouchers are not valid during bank holidays, major festivals and subject to management discretion.

18. What are the disabled facilities at Jimmy Chung’s?
Jimmy Chung’s have full disabled facilities and easy access. There is disabled parking directly outside the Lothian Rd/Usher Hall branch. Phone ahead before you visit and staff will ensure plenty of space for you at you table. Ask a member of staff if you require help selectary your food.

19. Can I bring my pet with me to Jimmy Chung’s?
No only guide dogs are allowed on the premises.

20. Does the price tarriff ever change?
During the festival and on certain public holidays the price tarriff may change to reflect the demand of customers and will noticed 7 days before the price change. During these periods a time limit of 1 hours 30 mins will apply to each diner.
